What's Real and What's Not

If Barbie is so popular,
why do you have to buy her friends?

Madison and I played her favorite game on the Wii today, Deal or No Deal.  In this game, one of you can be the player and one can be the banker.  While performing the role of banker (which can be less than exciting) I began noticing something with the electronic Deal or No Deal models.  So, I waited for the appropriate moment to snap a photo.

Lovely Mandy here, while opening a case with a low $5,000, also appears to have a part of her that is quite fake.  I'll just say that resides in her chest region.  Honestly, Maddie really only cares what the color of their dress is and what is in their case.  I, on the other hand, cared that some video game creator felt it important to make sure these models gave people something to REALLY look at!

Honestly, as girls it is hard enough to grow up without giving us some image to model ourselves after that only makes us more insecure.  I know, I know....Maddie doesn't even notice it.  As perceptive as she is, I'm sure she will some day.  Until then, I say shame on the person who has decided to build their "model woman" through a video game.  What's funniest is that this game also pulls from your Mii yet your person has hands that look like flippers.  Either that or Howie Mandel just couldn't stand the thought of his video gamed self standing beside a video gamed person with bare hands...touching things...spreading germs.  Either way, I found it all very interesting.

So, it's a good thing all Maddie really cares about is how much money she makes or if she chooses deal or no deal.  Perhaps mommy is envious that lovely Mandy has apparently never eaten more than a carrot stick,  lost her "perk", nor had any children.
